Pre-School and Kindergarten Activities for Homeschooling

What do you do with your preschoolers while you're schooling your older children?
If you don't have older children but want to start school with your preschool or kindergarten aged children, where do you start?  Here is a starting point!

When schooling only preschoolers we used these hands on learning toys along with workbooks and reading books.  When I am schooling a lot of older children and have just one or two preschoolers I take these activities out during the appropriate school time!  If everyone is getting out their math books our preschoolers get out their sorting bears and pattern blocks.  During our science lessons the preschoolers will listen to the reading and once we pull out our science notebooks our preschoolers will pull out their magnifying glass or coloring sheets.  We make sure the preschoolers can follow along with age appropriate toys and activities.

This has blessed us in two ways, the preschoolers feel like they are a part of our one room schoolhouse and they are also used to getting schoolwork done daily! Hope this helps!
